Outreach Projects

As part of our continual mission within the community, we are involved in a number of different outreach projects. If you would like to find out more or get involved then please get in touch.

Watford Food Bank

St Lawrence church is a drop off point for the Watford Food Bank. Any donations are greatly received including tins, dried pasta, toiletries and nappies.

The supplies get taken to the food bank where they are distributed to those in need. This has been especially useful during the pandemic, and we have been astounded by the generosity of the locals.

If you would like to find out more or are in need of support, please get in touch with the church office.

Watford Schools Trust

Watford Schools Trust is an interdenominational Christian Charity that works with over 50 schools in the Watford area. Their aim is to help teachers provide pupils with a clear understanding of the Christian faith.

We give support to the trust in any way that we can, including providing volunteers in schools to lead workshops with children on prayer.

Local Schools

As a parish, we have strong connections with our local schools.

We hold regular assemblies in Abbots Langley, Bedmond, and Tanners Wood schools, which create many interesting conversations and questions.

We also welcome children from the schools into our churches for services around Christmas time.

Charity Fundraising

We enjoy supporting a number of local charities, and hold events throughout the year that bring in much needed funds for them. Our Church Fetes raise funds for charities such as DRUM, The Peace Hospice, Demand and The Hospice Of St Francis. Donations made at the Christingle services go to The Children's Society.
