Children and Youth Work

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Children and young people are at the very heart of our church community and our mission. We believe church should be a place where young people are welcomed, valued, and encouraged to explore faith in a way that is joyful, honest, and age-appropriate.

From babies and toddlers to teenagers, we aim to make church accessible and engaging for every stage of growing up. Whether through worship, play, creativity, or conversation, we want every child and young person to know they belong here—and that God’s love is for them.

Groups

From babies and toddlers to teenagers, we aim to make church accessible and engaging for every stage of growing up. Whether through worship, play, creativity, or conversation, we want every child and young person to know they belong here—and that God’s love is for them.

We have a number of groups available either during our Sunday services or at other times in the week. For primary aged children we have a Sunday School (Seekers) during the 9:30am service on the first and third Sundays. We also run a toddler group, Tiny Tots, on Tuesday mornings. For young people we have a youth group, Nameless, which meets on Sunday nights on the first and third Sundays. Click through to learn about our groups below.

First Communion / Confirmation

At St Lawrence we offer first communion to those baptised children that are ready to receive it. We offer a short course to explain what communion is before they receive their first communion. We also offer confirmation courses for those ready to take the next step in their commitment to their faith. If this is something you are looking for then please get in touch with us today.
